Viva Hysteria was All Killer - No Filler!!!
- They're getting better, not getting older! I've seen one of my top two favorite concerts, Turnpike Troubadours, quite a few times, but this was by anybody, ever! Joe sounded great and hit all the high notes, they are such solid musicians, the harmonies were great, they all had a lot of energy. The staging was great, and the acoustics in the venue were good. Oh, and by the way, they looked good. ;-) Now that it's been a couple of weeks since the show, what stands out to me the most is how good they all are as musicians and singers. Even when performing songs that they've rarely or never done in concert before, Hysteria was known as such a technology and production-heavy album. So, how in the heck can they perform it live and do it justice, let alone knock it out of the park? Amazing!
- If you're one of those people that hasn't seen them in concert because you like their older stuff best, I strongly suggest you see them in concert. They do tend to play their older stuff, plus they play it heavy and hard and fast. It's not a pop concert by any means.
